Bid Received for Bibiyana IPP Project

On Thursday, July 24th, 2008, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh received a bid proposal from the Consortium of Powertek Berhad of Malaysia, Siemens Project Ventures GmbH of Germany, and Korea Electric Power Company (Kepco) to establish a 450MW power plant at Bibiyana, in Habiganj District, 180 km northeast of Dhaka.
